Abu Dhabi's International Holding Company (IHC), one of the Gulf's largest investment conglomerates, reported an 87 per cent jump in nine-month profit after tax from continuing operations, reaching Dhs32.5 billion for the period ending September 30, 2026, compared with the same period last year.

Revenue from continuing operations climbed 33.2 per cent to Dhs100.5 billion, driven largely by the group's energy and mining arm, which posted a 295.1 per cent surge in revenue to Dhs19.3 billion. The real estate and construction segment grew 12.8 per cent to Dhs33.3 billion, while marine and dredging revenue rose 3.7 per cent to Dhs22.4 billion. Hospitality and leisure revenue nearly doubled to Dhs7.8 billion, and financial services revenue grew 53.7 per cent to Dhs4.4 billion.

Combined profit across IHC's seven operating segments rose 37.5 per cent to Dhs12.6 billion. Group chief executive Syed Basar Shueb said international revenue more than doubled during the nine-month period, underlining the company's expanding footprint beyond the UAE.

Net debt stood at Dhs30.4 billion at the end of the period. IHC also disclosed it has bought back Dhs705 million worth of shares, around 1.9 million shares, as part of a Dhs5 billion buyback programme.

IHC, closely tied to Abu Dhabi's ruling family, has grown over the past decade into one of the region's largest holding companies, with interests spanning energy, real estate, healthcare, technology and financial services across dozens of markets.
